I did not grow up on Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus is not one of my idols, but this song came on the radio this morning as I was pushing my way up a hill during an early morning run and I have to admit that I am happy it did.
My run time is often also my think time, so as I was pushing up that hill physically, I was also pushing up a hill spiritually, mulling over some of life’s problems in my mind.
Needless to say, the song came on at just the right time, reminding me about what is important.
It is not always easy, in fact, most of the times it is hard.
It does not always feel good. Many times it hurts.
We do not always succeed right away. Many times we have to fail our way to success and some of our friends may get there before us making us question our ability, our value and worth.
But everybody’s story is not the same. And every story matters. And every up and down in that story matters.
Life is not about the destination…it’s about the journey…it’s the climb.
